My name is Jennifer Haas and I am the educational instructor at PRO U. I attended college at Rockland Community College as well as Dominican University. I worked in the SPIRIT and STRIVE programs at Felix Festa Middle School in Clarkstown for over 20 years. I am very excited to teach at PRO U and provide extended education and a college-like experience for adults with different abilities. Working with these amazing young adults has reminded me as to why I love teaching.

Carol Gutierrez Walsh is a registered, licensed, and sensory integration certified occupational therapist. She has provided OT services for babies through adults in a variety of settings during her 30+ years of practice. Carol developed the OT program in Clarkstown Central School District in 1992 and created programs for autistic middle and high school students within the district. In addition, she represented Rockland County for 2 years for the New York State OT Association, where she organized continuing education seminars for state members. Carol is honored to be part of the Post secondary education of the underserved autistic and developmentally challenged youth at PRO U to enhance their talents, interests, and goals.

William Meyer has a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and has been working with children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities for over 20 years. His major areas of expertise include positive behavioral change, social skills development, and functional language skills. He is proud to be a part of the PRO U family!

Hello, my name is Wendy Stewart. Let me introduce myself, I’m a New York State certified Teaching Assistant Level III with 19 years of experience in the field of Special Education . My resume includes work at Clarkstown STRIVE autism elementary, middle, and high school programs. Rockland BOCES in the KCDC secondary level life skills/community based program and South Orangetown Tappan Zee High School COVE life skill/ community based program. Over the years, I have worked with and learned from many exceptional special education teachers, BCBAs, OTs, and talented colleagues. I consider this next chapter to be an exciting adventure with new group of amazing people. Thank you PRO U ED for welcoming me to your team!
